41-year-old Eric Yarbrough, a chiropractor with a practice in Amarillo, Texas, has pleaded guilty to sexual assault charges and has had his chiropractic license suspended. The case stems from a series of incidents beginning back in 2006.
The facts aren't clear in terms of what actually happened, but it seems as though Yarbrough is accused of sexually assaulting three women while they were patients in his office.
As Bobby Cervantes reports for the Amarillo Globe-News, Yarbrough testified, "I don't know what's wrong with me. I've made a lot of mistakes, and I've been unprofessional."
Referring to one of the women, Yarbrough also said, "I regret ever hurting her. I was unprofessional, and it wasn't your fault."
The jury sentenced Yarbrough to four years behind bars and 20 years of probation. The judge also ordered that Yarbrough cannot apply for a state medical license during those 20 years of probation - though Yarbrough says he does not intend to continue chiropractic practice.
